Winter decorations will often include a variety of snow items, such as snowflakes or any sort of white items. It is common to equate winter with Christmas, but it does not have to be inclusive, especially after Christmas has passed and there is quite a bit of winter yet to go. Light blues and silver will also be seen when decorating for winter, as it is reminiscent of ice.
Decorations for an indoor event would be very wintery with balloons of white, light blue, and silver. Add icicle lights and mirrors and the winter wonderland is perfect. Tables can be covered with white tablecloths. Sprinkle blue, silver, and white snowflakes of glitter on the tables for accents, along with mirror tiles that support dark blue candles. Silver glittered flowers at the base of the balloon strings will hide the string ties and add some sparkle.
Even if you do not live in an area of the country that has snow for the white effect, there are things you can decorate with that add enjoyment for the family. Creating bird feeders with pine cones, peanut butter, and birdseed will attract feathered friends during the winter months when they have little to eat. First attach a string or other hanger to the top of a good-sized pine cone. Smear it all over with peanut butter, and then roll the pine cone in a tray of birdseed. It may take a couple of good rolls to get the seeds spread out all over the pine cone. Once this is done, hang your bird-friendly winter decoration outdoors.
