As you get older you tend to slow down and do less than you used to. If you want to keep yourself in good physical health you need to eat right and exercise even more than when you were younger. There is an old saying, "if you don't use it you'll lose it." It is so true when it comes to your health and activity. If you sit around all day and do nothing you are going to get stiff and bored and you may just dry up. There are a lot of things that you can do as a senior.
Just because you are up in age does not mean that you cannot go swimming or take a walk around the block. You can always do exercises that will help you with your balance which is a major problem as you get older. Those of you who have arthritis know that if you do not use your limbs or if you sit too long when you get up you are so stiff that you can hardly move.
That is why it is imperative to keep yourself as active as you can. You do not have to do anything that is strenuous. Just do a little each day so that you don't end up needing a walker. After all, none of you want to go to a nursing home as long as you have your own home. You want to be able to keep it up as long as you can.
