Attitudes seem to become more apparent in seniors. It is either very bad or very good. Many seniors have learned that positive attitudes create a happier existence. Understanding their own physical and mental strengths and weaknesses help to improve attitudes about aging and illnesses. Having primary care physicians that they have confidence in also helps attitudes to be more positive. It is also very important for seniors to live in the right area for them.
If they want or need socialization then living in a senior apartment complex or a senior park area will help in keeping both mind and body active. If they are disabled in any way and require home care, then the type of home care is important to keeping their attitudes positive through talk, music and nutrition. Bad attitudes many times are created not by the individual but by the companies that seem to specialize in scamming seniors. It is hard for any age, but more difficult for the seniors, to accept being ripped off by insurance companies.
There are other organizations that claim to be set up for the benefit of seniors that actually get kick backs from the companies they recommend. Seniors do seem to develop bad attitudes at this type of treatment. Another item that can become a positive or bad attitude is deciding what medical procedures they will or will not accept. Burial or cremation and probably the most critical to an attitude is the decision of whether to be an organ donor or not.
