Senior citizens should keep a positive attitude about life; it may be difficult at times, just like it is for anyone, but maintaining a positive attitude from day to day is important.
When you think positively you may get more done. If you are a senior citizen with a poor attitude some important things may get pushed off day after day. Doctor's appointments, paying bills, walking the dog, grocery shopping, and cleaning the house may be overlooked.
When you think positively you are more likely to have better relationships too. No one wants to be around a person who is negative all the time. Relationships are good for older people. Positive attitudes can make you have better health, and also happiness. To stay positive you must stay happy, and have fun, laugh a lot and get good company. Having relationships with other senior citizens, and a good attitude is important. You do not want to become lonely. You can play cards, or bingo with your friends. They will not want to be around you if you are always negative.
People with positive attitudes tend to become more successful in life, they find success everyday, and happiness in the little things. A lot can happen as you age, more doctors visits, money problems, etc. It is good to keep your head up and always look at the bright side.
Some other things senior citizens can do to stay positive is to volunteer their time. There are foster grandparent programs were they can give their time to children in need.
