A last will and testament is a very essential part of life. If you don't have one the state ends up with all your assets and your family and loved ones will have nothing. Every person should have a last will and a living will as well so it will take the burden off of a loved one to decide what to do should you become unable to voice your wishes.
When you get a will done you will need a trustee and of course it should be someone you trust to distribute your assets in the way that you want them to be distributed. You will want to take your time and write everything down and reread it so that you take care of who you want your items to go to. You wouldn't want to leave a loved one out by not taking your time and rushing through the will.
It has been said that a last will and testament and a living will are love letters to those who are left behind, and in actuality it really is if you think about it. A will is telling the ones you leave behind just how much you love them and that you thought enough of them to put it in writing so that they would know. It is a love letter that they will have for their lifetime, one that they can keep and treasure forever. There will be no second guessing or hurt feelings over an estate that goes to the state instead of the loved ones you intended to honor by putting it in writing.
