Have you ever met one of those people who always looks like a million bucks? They are always well kept and well dressed and they seem always to feel good. The truth of the matter is that looking your best can truly help you feel your best.
It's easy for us to get lazy about our looks as we age. As time goes by we can get into a rut and we spend less time on our appearance. Many people tend to care more for others than they do for themselves and, as a result, they find themselves in the year 2008 with big 80's hair, sweat pants, and a t-shirt with holes in it.
What can you do to break the rut and get back to a place where you look great and feel great because of it? For starters, take a time out and look at yourself objectively. There are tons of online resources and even TV shows to help you learn what looks will be best on you. A fresh haircut and some new duds will get the ball rolling toward a whole new you.
You can enlist the help of friend or even your sweetie when it comes to making new choices. It might help to set aside one day per month as a "me" day. On this day you should spend your time shopping for yourself, going to the salon, and generally focusing on your appearance.
Try it for a month or two, you're sure to learn that looking good and taking pride in your appearance will ultimately affect your mental health and your mood. Ultimately, looking good IS feeling good!
